Terms of Service

Version 2026-05-22 · last updated 22 May 2026

These terms govern your use of Brightspark Prep ("the service"), operated by Himanshu Kher (sole trader) ("we", "us"). Contact: himanshu.kher@gmail.com. By using the service you agree to these terms. If you create an account, the account holder must be 18+ and the parent or guardian of the child using it.

1. The service

Brightspark Prep is an educational practice tool for UK 11+ / senior school entrance preparation across Maths, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning and English. The whole service — all four subjects, mock exams, smart review, readiness analytics and printable worksheets — is currently free to use, and you can use it with or without an account.

2. Cost

Brightspark Prep is free to use while we are in our launch period — there is nothing to pay, no card details are needed, and there is no subscription. We may introduce optional paid plans in future; if we do, we will update this page with full pricing and payment terms, and no charge will ever be made without your active, informed agreement first.

3. Cancellation & refunds

While the service is free there is nothing to pay, and so nothing to refund. You can stop using it — and delete your account — at any time. If we introduce paid plans in future, the applicable cancellation and refund terms, including your rights under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations and the Consumer Rights Act 2015, will be set out here before any purchase.

4. Acceptable use

We may suspend or end access that breaches these terms.

5. Content & intellectual property

All questions, content and the application are owned by us or our licensors and provided for your family's personal practice only. No other rights are granted.

6. No guarantee of results; not affiliated

Brightspark Prep is a practice aid. We do not guarantee any particular exam outcome, score or school place. The service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or official preparation for GL Assessment, CEM, ISEB, CSSE or any school or examination body; references to these are for compatibility/description only.

7. Availability & your data

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service and may update, change or discontinue features. If you use the service without an account, your child's progress is stored only in your browser — you are responsible for that device and its data; clearing browser data erases it. See the Privacy Notice for how data is handled.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including your statutory consumer rights). Subject to that, our total liability to you is limited to the amount (if any) you paid us for access in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

9. Changes & governing law

We may update these terms; the version above will change and continued use after a material change means you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction (this does not remove protections you have under the law of your home nation within the UK).
